Yes, guys, already! Aren't you proud of me?
One reason might be, that there isn't much else to talk bout today except a show report. Leaving Travemünde this morning was a little bit sad, but knowing we'd be seeing Lee tonight, made it a bit better. Arrived in Hannover around 2pm-ish.
And there's not really anything to report from here. The usual facts for everyone who's interested:
Hannover, on the river Leine, is the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) and is located 177 miles (285 km) west of Berlin, 94 miles (151 km) south of Hamburg and 392 miles (631 km) north of Munich. With a population of ca. 510,000 the city is a major centre of northern Germany, known for hosting annual commercial trade fairs such as the Hanover Fair and the CeBIT. The Hanover fairground, due to numerous extensions, especially for the Expo 2000, is the largest in the world. Hanover is also of national importance because of its universities and medical school, its international airport, and its large zoo. The city is also a major crossing point of railway lines and highways (Autobahnen), connecting European main lines in east-west-direction (Berlin - Ruhr area) and north-south-direction (Hamburg - Munich et al.).Doesn't sound half bad, but... I have unfortunately nothing more of interest to add. While we've been to Hannover before, we never really did anything here or went sightseeing. Which means: no photos of interesting sights today.
What? You come here for Lee photos only anyway? Ooohh-key. We'll get to them later.
The LUX in Hannover was the place to be tonight. (And if you click the link it will lead you to an article about Lee & PA on the Lux website - in German). It's the first club on this tour that we are familiar with. We saw Lee there last autumn during his support tour for Tom Lüneburger. Always good to know where the venue is, where you can park the car and where you can get something to eat before the show.
Accross the street is a Döner Kebap, and we were sure it would be a better choice than that weird café with the unfriendly service we had been to last year. We both ordered a Döner Teller that included veal meat, mixed salad, different sauces and french fries (or chips for our
Sometimes junk food is the best food ;-)
For a coffee we went over to Backwerk, a bakery chain. 't was alright but I've had better ones. And the place closed at 6:30pm. Seriously??? Are we in a city with half a million citizens or the suburbs? They basically threw us out. It was alf past 6.... good time to walk over to the venue anyway, so we grabbed our coffees and went.
Doors opened at 7pm sharp and slowly but surely the crowd shuffled in. The scarf with the British flag pattern tied to the microphone stand indicated that Lee would begin again tonight. This time for the following reason: he had to catch the train to Berlin. As you've all heard by now... if not, you must have lived under a rock... Lee will be performing live on German TV on Thursday, April 3rd, He'll perform two song on the morning show Morgenmagazin at ZDF.
This is the link for the live stream http://morgenmagazin.zdf.de/ZDF/zdfportal/programdata/736e54f4-4fe8-3403-b124-f0cbddd8a75d/2028495.
Lee will be on at 8:25am and 8:53am German time (CEST). Tune in or set your recorders, if you haven't already.
Lee will be on TV, y'all!! This is bloody amazing, isn't it ?!? That show has regularly around 3 million viewers, which is very good! It's a great opportunity to make himself and his music known to a wider audience.
But back to the show. There was no significant change to the setlist... other than You're Not Her was missing. For now.

Just like we've seen it happen at all the other shows before, he completely charmed everyone in the room. Again there were some of those who had obviously come to see PA, but were totally won over by his performance and also bought his EP after the show.
This guy definitely needs a bigger audience. So we hope very much that the TV appearance will help.
In fact, the people at the Lux were SO amazed by his show, that they didn't let him go without singing another song. Which was the first 'real' encore right after his own set. Must have made his day because he said "this is the best thing that ever happened to me' when he came back onstage again.
So then it was time for the amazingly beautiful You're Not Her, which closed the set. Because someone had to catch a train to Berlin to perform for 3 mio. viewers the next day.
Good luck, Lee !!!
And last but not least... in more Ladie's room news: A soap dispender, seen at the Lux :-)
I am VERY proud of you! Good job!

Thanks for your kind comment. Not sure yet on part 2. Depends on Lee's touring schedule. It was a lot of work to put that blog together while being on the road all the time. We'll see. Anyway... glad you liked it :-)
